I am fortunate to own a few of Karen's paintings.
While her landscapes are among my favorites,
it is "We Are Not in Kansas Anymore" that captures me.

Technically a pastel piece, the subject simultaneously represents current events and times remembered.
Maybe it's the finesse with which it is rendered, maybe it's the artist's unusual foray into "art commentary",
but I return to this piece again and again.

I am grateful to have it in my collection.
